Job Overview:

The Manager - Operations & Sales will be responsible for overseeing the efficient processing of applications from channel partners, driving student conversions, and enhancing business growth through strategic relationship management. This role also involves team leadership, ensuring process excellence, and optimizing performance ratios to achieve regional targets.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Excellence:

  • Oversee the application processing from channel partners, ensuring that only eligible applications are submitted, documents are verified, and timely updates are provided to partner associates.

  • Manage escalations effectively, ensuring resolutions are reached promptly.

  • Ensure all inquiries are answered within the defined turnaround time.

  • Maintain regular contact with Partner Associates to ensure the conversion of students holding Conditional and Unconditional offer letters.

  • Execute strategic plans to meet regional targets.

  • Ensure that the various performance ratios, such as offer letters received to deposits made, are optimized.

  • Implement and optimize internal reporting systems and procedures regularly for the assigned Division.

  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the assigned domain, providing guidance and expertise to the team.

  • Identify and address process gaps to prevent revenue leakage, consulting with management for effective solutions.

  • Present monthly MIS reports to your BU head and the leadership Team

Business Development, Market Intelligence, and Escalation Management:

  • Develop and maintain very close relationships with key channel partners to drive more applications.

  • Service key clients on a personal level to increase business

  • Analyze the competition & market intelligence gathered from regional teams to implement strategies for business growth.

  • Conduct intake-wise review meetings with key partners to analyze various MIS and drive more applications through strategic initiatives.

  • Identify key universities and programs for your region using coursefinder.ai and analyze why they are selling well. Introduce more such universities in the market to support the regional sales team.

  • Drive P&L accountability for the assigned region through rigorous reviews and strategic planning.

Team Management:

  • Provide regular updates to the team about new changes in universities, including eligibility requirements, process changes, and key updates.

  • Evaluate team members’ performance against KRAs monthly, in collaboration with their managers.

  • Facilitate the smooth onboarding of new team members, including setting up their KRAs, defining work responsibilities, and ensuring they have a positive initial experience.

  • Provide necessary training on processes and compliance to new team members.

  • Monitor and improve the quality of team members’ work, ensuring errors are rectified promptly and the root causes are addressed to prevent future occurrences.

  • Regularly review team processes, suggest improvements, get them approved, and implement them accordingly.

Job requirements

  • 8-10 years of relevant Operations & Sales experience.

  • Minimum of 5 years of team management and customer relationship experience.

  • Strong analytical abilities and commercial acumen.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Team player with good time management.

  • Commitment to continuous learning, particularly in improving product knowledge through both training and personal initiative.

  • Ability to design, document, and implement reporting systems and procedures within the specified functional area.
